Dr Philip Unwin, our senior partner, qualified at St Mary's Hospital 1982 and has been working at the Hart Surgery for over 30 years. His areas of interest include the fields of occupational health medicine, minor surgery, orthopaedic medicine and skin diseases.
Philip is our surgery 'champion' for those with learning disabilities and autism, is the medical officer at Shiplake College and also looks after our patients at Chilterns Court nursing home.

MBBS (London) BSc, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP
Dr Michelle Brennan qualified from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine. Her interests are women and children's health and is our safeguarding lead at the surgery.
|Dr Mark Bish (m)|
After graduating from St Georges Hospital medical school in 2002, Dr Mark Bish then worked in various hospitals around South West London and Surrey, gaining experience in numerous medical specialties.
Mark qualified as a GP in 2008 and was a partner in a practice in Wimbledon for two years before moving to The Hart Surgery in 2015.
He has particular interests in neurology and gastroenterology, but has a great love for the science of medicine as a whole. Mark looks after our patients at Huntercombe Hall nursing home and is our surgery's dementia 'champion'. He is a full-time partner.
|Dr Chee Pavey (f)|
MBChB BSc (Hons) MRCGP PGDip Clin Derm PGCert Aes Med
Chee was born and raised in Henley-on-Thames. She qualified from The University of Manchester, Medical School, in 2011 where she also intercalated in Pharmacology and Physiology. Her interests are in dermatology, minor surgery and aesthetics medicine and she is the surgery's mental health 'champion'.
She has a post graduate diploma in Clinical Dermatology (with distinction) and a post graduate Certificate in Aesthetics Medicine (with distinction) both through Queen Mary University of London. She is currently completing a Masters in Aesthetics Medicine. She loves being a GP and is very pleased to be working in Henley, where she grew up, surrounded by the beautiful English countryside
|Dr William Hearsey (m)|
MB BCh 2010 Cardiff University
Dr Will Hearsey joined us in 2016 as a salaried GP and we are delighted he has now taken up a Partnership as of 1st April 2018. He trained in Cardiff before heading to Yorkshire where he worked for two years, after which he returned to the south to begin his GP training. He currently works three days a week and also looks after Lashbrook House Nursing Home.
He has a broad range of medical interests and loves to write - you may have seen him writing in the Henley Standard. More recently he has been developing an interest in musculo-skeletal medicine. Outside this, he has a keen interest in playing music, enjoys taking part in and watching most sports and is very happy to be a part of the Hart Surgery team!
|Dr Oliver Maunsell (m)|
MBBS (Newcastle), MRCGP.
We are delighted that following a locum position with us that Dr Maunsell has now joined us as a salaried GP. After running a successful events company in London for ten years, Oliver chose to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a doctor and qualified from Newcastle Medical School in 2012. He now combines his passion for general practice with a keen interest in acute care and sports medicine; working regularly in our local ‘out of hours’ urgent care settings as well as providing occasional medical cover for Henley Hawks and Goodwood Racecourse. He lives in Wargrave with his wife and young son and enjoys playing regular club tennis and hacking his way around a golf course.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Lauren Lewis to our team. Some time ago Dr Lewis was a registrar at our practice and we liked her so much, we invited her back when she had finished her training. Dr Lewis was brought up just outside Henley-on-Thames and is a keen equestrian.

Ram will be joining us on 6th February 2019 for six months. After graduating from Guy's, King's & St Thomas' Medical School in 2015, he has worked in various hospitals in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire; which has allowed him to gain experience in a wide-range of medical and surgical specialties. He has a broad range of medical interests and outside of work he enjoys playing regular football and tennis. He is very much looking forward to working with the team at The Hart Surgery.

Samik will be joining us on 6th February 2019 for six months. He was born in India and has lived in the UK since 2003. He has worked all across the UK and has recently moved from Liverpool where he underwent Emergency Medicine training for four years until he decided to immerse himself in General Practice. He lives in the Reading area with his wife and two children aged 7 and 4 years old. He loves travelling, especially train journeys and has travelled extensively across Europe and the Indian subcontinent. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He enjoys watching and following cricket and used to play in school. He is a great foodie and especially enjoys Indian,Thai and Chinese cuisine.
